Metal processing techniques, methods and machinery

Schlote has mastered all common metal processing methods and techniques, and puts them to use with maximum efficiency according to customer needs.

Machining services and more

Machining is a key focal point at Schlote:

Drilling, turning, milling, grinding, sawing, thread cutting, engraving and other machining techniques.

Partly in cooperation with our partners, we also offer non-machining metal processing techniques such as bending, casting, beating, peening, embossing, punching, forging, stamping, pressing, rolling, drawing and etching. Metal joining such as welding, soldering, gluing or plating can be included as well.

In particular, Schlote has extensive specialised knowledge of milling, turning, reaming, grinding and hardening as well as the complex machining of free-form surfaces.

Schlote metal processing machinery

Schlote has an extensive and steadily growing selection of machinery for metal processing and other production processes. This includes various software solutions supporting a high level of integration into the entire production process.

Rework-friendly design of castings

We closely coordinate with foundries regarding the requirements for the production of castings. For the production-friendly completion of foundry work pieces, castings should be designed to have the required geometric and material properties for subsequent processing after mould removal. Keeping surfaces to be processed as small as possible is a fundamental requirement for rework-friendly design. Minimising the extent of rework is crucial and improves the effectiveness of the process as a whole. The objective is to optimise the use of materials (component weight, processing waste), reduce the time spent for subsequent processing and minimise the use of tools. Schlote also reworks castings for customers on request.
